Care & Lifelong Performance

Smithey cookware is 100% PFAS-free and features a mirror-smooth, polished interior that develops a natural, organic non-stick patina without toxic chemical coatings.

1. Wash: Clean immediately after use with warm water and a cast iron soap. For deeper cleaning, use a chainmail scrubber or a cast iron salt scrub—Smithey’s rugged, polished surface can handle it. Never soak or put it in the dishwasher.

2. Dry: Dry thoroughly immediately after washing. To ensure no moisture remains, place the pot on your stovetop over low heat for 1 to 2 minutes until completely dry.

3. Oil: While the cookware is still warm from the stovetop, apply a very light film of a high-smoke-point oil to the interior cooking surface using a paper towel. Wipe away any excess oil so it doesn't get sticky, and store it in a dry place.
